The University of Iloilo (UI), Inc. signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) last October 2, 2023 to work together in creating programs for its students. UI shares in BFF's vision and goal of improving the knowledge and skills of students to better prepare them for employment.
Throughout this three-year partnership, BFF shall provide internship/apprenticeship, curriculum development, instructional support, and scholarships.
BFF shall supply a planned and supervised program of internship for UI students. Through this program, the students will have a practical experience where they can identify their potential, assimilate in the workplace, and polish their skills to match the requirements of the job environment.
Industry-academe consultations, assessments of students and graduates, and collaborative activities will be undertaken by BFF to help develop the curricula of UI. These undertakings will benefit UI to be on top of the latest knowledge and information on essential and critical skills in today's workplace.
BFF shall provide UI with instructional support such as career talks/symposiums, company visits, and webinars for a more holistic approach to preparing the students as they embark on the professional world. These activities will provide students with a venue to learn, meet, and interact with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Deserving students of UI shall also receive scholarships at the discretion of BFF. The scholarships will help students earn their college degrees, paving their way toward empowerment and employment.
With programs that ultimately benefit the students, this partnership brings BFF and UI one step closer toward their unified goal of making lives better through education.
