Hi, Impact Makers! We are your BFF!
The Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) is an ecosystem of foundations that uplift social enterprises and advance social impact projects.
We are an ecosystem of foundations that uplift social enterprises and advance social impact projects.
The beginnings of Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) started in 1993. Its roots started from the ABS-CBN Foundation that piloted micro-lending as one of its programs that eventually evolved into the ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc., a full-fledged micro-lending program. In 2006, after years of service and the increasing need to truly alleviate poverty in the communities, Professor Ed Morato was appointed to lead the organization. Professor Morato identified the need for more than just credit in order to get the poor out of poverty. He led the organization from the track of microfinance to developing microentrepreneurs.
The Bayan Academy started in 2009 and absorbed the ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation in 2012. The Bayan Academy was founded as the knowledge resource center for enterprise development to democratize access to the five Es: entrepreneurship, employment, education, environment, and ethics.
Today, the Bayan Family of Foundations has four member foundations: Bayan Academy, Bayan EDGE, Bayan SEARCH, and Bayan Innovation Group. Each foundation was founded and organized to be a friend and partner to impact makers and their supporters as they go from starting up to scaling up.
Two principles we stand behind in every part of our work.
